Artist Statement
My artistic journey began with a single oil painting that sparked both my confidence and a deep connection to the visual world. This experience has grown into a subtle force that influences how I perceive and interact with my surroundings. I am drawn to the interaction between nature, culture, and tribal art, where traditions are deeply rooted in story telling and the rhythms of daily life.
Creating each piece involves a lot of experimentation, and I find immense joy in the studio—painting, teaching and sharing the happiness that creativity brings.
Art has become a part of of my life, enabling me to shift from a long career in information technology to a fulfilling creative path. Ultimately, I aspire for my work to evoke moments of reflection and connection, encouraging viewers to engage with their own experiences and interpretations of what they observe.
